XPeng continues its meteoric growth as it brings new models to new territories

XPeng reports impressive delivery figures for June 2024, off the back of its rapid growth strategy. The company delivered 10,668 ‘Smart EVs’ during the month, marking a substantial 24% increase compared to the same period last year. This also represented a 5% uptick from the previous month’s deliveries.

Among the standout performers was the XPeng X9, which contributed 1,687 units to the June total. That means it’s now surpassed 13,000 units since its launch just six months ago. The X9 dominates as a top seller in China’s electric MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) and three-row model segments.

In the first half of 2024, XPeng delivered a cumulative total of 52,028 EVs, reflecting a robust 26% year-over-year growth. The company’s proprietary XNGP system, designed for urban driving scenarios, achieved an impressive 84% penetration rate among monthly active users.

Looking forward, XPeng plans a major expansion with an OTA update in July that will enable XNGP to operate nationwide on all public roads. Additionally, the company plans to its AI-driven in-car operating system, AI Tianji OS, in the third quarter of this year.

Couple this with the impending European release of the G6, and hefty development partnerships with Volkswagen, it seems the XPeng growth spurt is here to stay.

In July, XPeng will unveil the Mona M03, an all-electric hatchback coupe. This high-tech model will continue to bolster the range with yet more variety and style.

With new vehicles and partnerships aplenty, and orders flying off the shelf, it seems XPeng are fast becoming the next manufacturer to watch.
