- Tesla has made its Model 3 and Model Y EVs available for test drives at the UK’s EV LIVE at Blenheim Palace, coming up in just over a week.
- Running between Friday 13th and Sunday 15th of September, the three-day event will allow attendees to test drive a wide number of new electric vehicles.
- The Model 3 recently benefitted from a update, including a revamped interior and exterior, alongside updated powertrains.
The Tesla Model 3
The Model 3’s recent technological and visual upgrade has made it an even more attractive option, with prices starting at £39,990. In £49,990 long-range form, it’s also capable of travelling up to 390 miles between charges, which also makes it one of the longest range EVs you can buy in the country.
Tesla is also bringing the top-end Model 3 Performance to EV LIVE. The fastest Model 3 available, it packs a hefty 460 horsepower, delivering 0-60mph in 2.9 seconds – that’s supercar territory, all inside a four-door saloon that’s still seriously capable as an everyday EV, as Green.TV’s Gill Nowell recently discovered.
The Tesla Model Y
The Model Y grants all the benefits of the Model 3, but in a family-friendly SUV-crossover body, which is becoming an ever more popular segment, particularly in the EV space. It’s no wonder, then, that the Model Y was recently the best selling car in Europe, and the best selling electric car across both Europe, the US, and China, more recently.
Starting at £44,990, it’s only slightly more expensive than the 3, but offers a taller driving position, more interior space, and a larger boot. Much like the 3, it can also be specced in Performance level, to create an ultra-fast family hauler.
To try out the Model 3 or Model Y for yourself, be sure to purchase your EV LIVE tickets soon, and pre-book your test drive to guarantee availability.

Returning for its third year, EV LIVE at Blenheim Palace is an immersive event showcasing a range of electric vehicles, from cars to ebikes, with the opportunity to test drive and ride both, alongside the showcase of green living technology such as heat pumps, solar panels, and battery storage solutions. Tickets also give full access to the rest of the Blenheim Palace site.
Whilst on-the-day test drives will be available, we recommend pre-booking your Tesla test drive, to be guaranteed a chance to drive. You’ll need to be at least 21, have held a full UK driving licence for two years, and have less than six points on your licence. We also advise getting yourself a DVLA check code, ahead of the experience.
