- Renault has previewed three electric light commercial vehicles, that are set to join the market from 2026.
- The three vehicles are a result of the Flexis joint venture between Renault Group, Volvo Group, and CMA CGM Group, with the originating Flexis vehicles having already been revealed last month.
- Based around the original Flexis vehicles, these specific models will be sold with a Renault badge and through Renault’s sales network – with the vehicles also being separately sold under the Flexis and Renault Trucks brands.
Renault’s new commercial EVs to arrive from next year in Flexis JV
The three EVs, which will join Renault’s E-Tech commercial range, include the Trafic, Goelette, and Estafette. These EVs might be thoroughly modern inside and out, but as shown with these three model names, Renault is sticking to its recent strategy of employing existing model names that have high levels of heritage – such as the new Renault 5 E-Tech.
Renault Trafic E-Tech

The Trafic E-Tech will exist as the standard panel van within the range, and exists as the fourth generation of the Trafic van. It’s not the first to be electrified however, with the current third-generation Trafic van also available with a fully-electric powertrain.
While the Trafic will be the van that can do it all, it’s likely to be a popular choice in urban environments for a number of reasons, not least for its lack of tailpipe emissions. A 1.9 metre hight ensures the Trafic can easily slot into underground car parks, while the turning circle is short – equivalent to that of a current Renault Clio hatchback, despite the Trafic’s much longer length.
Renault Goelette E-Tech

There’s also the Goelette, which marks the return of a model name originally introduced in the 1950s. This EV features as a versatile option, being available in three specifications: chassis cab, box, and tipper spec, to allow the Goelette to take on more specialised needs.
Renault Estafette E-Tech

The Estafette is another model name to be revived from the 20th century, with this latest model being hyper focused on urban logistics. Width stands at just 1.92 metres, while its height has been maximised – 2.6 metres, to be precise. This allows drivers to walk easily between the cockpit and cargo area, making it perfect for carrying out multiple, frequent stops in an urban area.
