Daniel Kunkel joins GRIDSERVE as CEO to propel UK Expansion
GRIDSERVE has named Daniel Kunkel as its new CEO. He will take over in March 2025 as the company continues to grow its charging network across the UK. Kunkel replaces Roy Williamson, who served as interim leader and will now return to his role as Chair.

Kunkel brings extensive experience in EV charging and energy. He previously led Shell’s European charging business, ubitricity, to became one of the largest on-street EV charging networks in Europe.
GRIDSERVE is expanding fast. The company now operates more than 190 locations with 1,400 charging bays. Every month, it delivers over 250,000 charging sessions. Its Electric Forecourts® and Super Hubs, which have up to 36 charging bays at busy sites, aim to make EV charging as easy as possible. What’s more, the company’s original CEO and Founder is currently spearheaded additional expansion through the newer sister organisation, GIGATONS.
