Flexis unveils three EVs on a next-gen skateboard platform – with DB Schenker and others already on board

Flexis, the joint venture between Renault Group, Volvo Group, and CMA CGM, officially debuted its cutting-edge range of urban logistics vehicles and services in its Paris showroom this week.

Set to hit the roads in 2026, these fully electric, connected, and customisable vehicles are built on a revolutionary EV-native skateboard platform with Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) architecture.

Alongside the vehicles, Flexis showcased its advanced software and services designed to help logistics providers seamlessly electrify their fleets and tackle the ever-growing challenges of urban delivery.

As Flexis moves into its industrialisation and pre-commercialisation phase, the company announced ten letters of intent with logistics providers in France, the UK, and Germany, signalling a potential demand of up to 15,000 vehicles over three years. Among the first to come on board are Colis Privé, HIVED, and DB Schenker, who will co-develop tailored solutions to meet their operational needs and those of their subcontractors.

Philippe Divry, CEO of Flexis, explained:

“Our mission at Flexis is to support and accelerate the electrification of the urban logistics industry, which is looking to operate more sustainably, improve profitability and improve the operations security and safety for drivers in a sector that continues to grow.

Since the creation of Flexis, we have worked with customers and logistics players to co-create the services to meet operational needs and improve the B2B offer on the market with a solution that is 100% electric, 100% connected, 100% customizable and 100% designed for cities.”

A smart, fully electric fleet, custom-built for urban streets

Flexis is redefining urban logistics with a versatile family of three fully electric, connected, and customisable vehicles.

Built on an EV-native skateboard platform with SDV electronic architecture developed in collaboration with Ampere (Renault Group), these urban-proof “computers on wheels” maximise efficiency, connectivity, and driver comfort.

They continuously send real-time data to fleet operators and receive seamless over-the-air updates, ensuring peak performance for the modern city.

Designed for logistics, built for performance

Each model in the lineup is engineered to streamline urban delivery operations with:

  • Low floor height for effortless loading/unloading
  • Fully customisable interiors without retrofitted constraints
  • Fast-charging high-capacity batteries (80% in < 20 min)
  • Unmatched urban range (up to 450km WLTP per charge)

Driver-centric innovation

  • €350M invested in development
  • 20 prototypes tested, over 9,000 hours of driving since March 2024
  • Industrialisation & pre-production in 2025
  • Full-scale production begins mid-2026 at Renault Group’s Sandouville plant (France)

Introducing the Flexis lineup

The Step-in van: With a unique silhouette in the medium van segment, it features front sliding doors and a rear shutter door for loading optimisation – a first for Europe. The 1.9m height clearance allows drivers to walk upright between the cab and cargo, enhancing ease of use and comfort.

The Panel Van: Designed to tackle the limitations of current market offerings, it offers superior manoeuvrability and a 1.9m height, allowing easy access to underground parking and garages – perfect for the urban environment.

The Cargo Van: Tailored for last-mile deliveries, it features a versatile, convertible box that can accommodate various widths, heights, and beds. It also supports modular solutions, including refrigerated boxes – adaptable for a range of urban logistics needs.

Flexis plans to sell directly to logistics providers and fleet managers, while also supplying its vehicles to Renault Group and Renault Trucks, who will distribute them under their own brands through their established sales networks.

Embedded solutions for connected logistics

In addition to its vehicle lineup, Flexis is developing a range of B2B services to help logistics operators decarbonise and boost operational efficiency. These services are built on an open platform that leverages the SDV, enabling seamless integration with existing digital systems in customer operations.

Its services focus on four core areas:

  • Uptime management
  • Operational efficiency
  • Energy and charging infrastructure management
  • Financial services

These will be delivered through:

  • FlexE Connect: A central digital platform for Flexis clients
  • Existing service networks across Europe, supported by Renault Group and Volvo Group
  • A Customer Operational Centre, providing real-time fleet monitoring, diagnostics, proactive recommendations, and personalised performance reports.

Pierre Sirolli, Head of Flexis Services and Solutions, said:

“Flexis is a strategic partner for urban logistics operators. Through the data connectivity of the Flexis vehicles and a team of experts, we offer personalised recommendations to improve our clients’ overall operations, offering solutions like delivery route optimisation, significantly reducing vehicle breakdowns through preventive and predictive maintenance, securing the charging of the vehicles and with uninterrupted advisory support we create and implement actions to resolve any setbacks.”

With the electrification of urban logistics taking a bold leap forward, Flexis is setting new standards in the future of urban logistics. As it gears up for production in 2026, and with key industry players already on board, Flexis is poised to accelerate the shift to a greener, more efficient, and safer urban logistics landscape. The future of sustainable delivery is electric – and Flexis is leading the charge.
