EVision 2025: How electric vehicles can strengthen Europe’s energy grid

  • EVision 2025 (March 5-6, Brussels) will explore how EVs can support the grid, reduce costs, and advance clean transport.
  • A new Eurelectric & EY report will highlight how EVs can store and release power, stabilising the grid and lowering electricity costs.
  • Industry leaders and policymakers will discuss policy, innovation, and investment, alongside hands-on EV technology exhibitions and networking opportunities.

Powering the future of transport with EVision 2025’s focus on the flexibility of electric vehicles

Eurelectric’s EVision 2025 is at the heart of Europe’s transport transformation. The event, held at Brussels’ Autoworld Museum on the 5-6th of March, will explore the latest in emobility and clean transport. This year’s event will focus on how EVs can transform Europe’s energy system. Discussions will highlight how emobility can provide more than just a cleaner alternative to fuel-powered cars—it can actively support the electricity grid and reduce costs for consumers.

Last year, EVision 2024 set a high standard. The event focused on boosting EV adoption in Europe through data-driven insights. The event featured high-level discussions, exclusive reports and insights from top industry executives.

For EVision 2025, a major focus will be on the flexibility of EVs within the energy system.

A new report by Eurelectric and EY will highlight how EVs can do more than just replace fuel-powered cars. They can store and release power, helping to balance the grid when energy demand is high. In turn, this makes electricity more affordable and ensures a more stable energy supply. The study will also explore how electric heavy-duty vehicles can contribute to a greener transport system. With the ongoing electric fleet boom, and new truck charging options released every day, the insights couldn’t be better timed.

Industry leaders and policymakers will join expert panels to discuss the road ahead.

Speakers include Apostolos Tzitzikostas, European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport & Tourism, and Christina Bu, Secretary General of the Norwegian Electric Vehicle Association. Their insights will shape discussions on policy, innovation, and investment in emobility.

Beyond the discussions, EVision 2025 offers hands-on experiences. Attendees can explore the latest EV technology and network with professionals from the automotive, power, and tech industries.

As Europe pushes for net-zero emissions, events like EVision 2025 are key to accelerating change. By combining innovation, policy, and industry insights, this event will help shape the future of clean transport. Find out more about the event, and how you can attend and get involved, here.
