- Hyundai Motor Europe has appointed Wolfgang Würth as its new Director of PR & Communications, with his new role effective from the start of October.
- Würth carries marketing and PR expertise from a number of previous OEMs – with his most recent role before joining Hyundai being the Director of Marketing and Communications for smart Europe, as well as various communications roles at Mercedes-Benz.
- Under his new role, Würth will play a key role in advancing Hyundai’s zero-emission transition in Europe.
Wolfgang Würth joins Hyundai, carrying expertise from smart and Mercedes-Benz
In his new role, Würth will be responsible for overseeing PR, product communications, and corporate communications for Hyundai in Europe.
Würth’s two-plus years at smart coincided with the brand’s recent strategy to position itself as an all-electric brand. With his switch to Hyundai Motor Europe, Würth will look to continue the positive EV messaging mission, helping to position Hyundai as an innovative player within the emobility sector. In Europe specifically, Hyundai has already committed to only selling zero-emission vehicles from 2035, highlighting the importance of encouraging more of its customers to go electric on their next car purchase. The range of EVs it offers has also expanded rapidly, now including more affordable options such as the Hyundai Inster EV.
