Volkswagen’s flagship ID.7 electric car, unveiled earlier this year, is now available for purchase in the UK. As well as offering the longest range seen in one of the company’s ID models so far, it also offers the most powerful electric motor, with 282hp at its disposal. The launch model’s 384 miles of range is comparable to the Tesla Model 3 LR’s 390 mile range, which has an equally similar starting price of £49,990. VW is also offering special discounts on the Launch Edition of the ID.7. This includes a £3,000 deposit contribution on finance, and the option of either a free Ohme home charger or £750 charging credit through the company’s charging brand Elli.
Speaking on the ID.7’s United Kingdom debut, Director of Volkswagen UK, Rob McLeod, said: “We know lots of people – including many business drivers – have been eagerly awaiting its arrival. The ID.7 is a hugely attractive package, offering state-of-the-art technologies that impress through their exclusivity, premium comfort and a really high degree of everyday usability.”
