- A benefits partnership between energy firm OVO and Volkswagen Group UK, which has allowed private owners of new Volkswagen Group EVs to reap a number of benefits, will now be extended to cover fleet drivers.
- This means now, both salary sacrifice and company car customers will also be able to take advantage of the numerous benefits offered in the partnership between Volkswagen Group and OVO.
- This includes 2,000 miles worth of free charging, anniversary bonuses, and the opportunity to sign up to OVO’s money-saving ‘Charge Anytime’ tariff add-on.
Volkswagen Group and OVO expand eligibility on its money-saving scheme
The offer has already commenced, and will allow fleet customers to take advantage of OVO’s ‘Charge Anytime’ tariff add-on, which allows home charging rates as low as 7p per kWh. Additionally, customers will get 2,000 miles worth of free home charging credit, with an additional 1,000 miles worth of charging for each year they stay on the tariff – up to a maximum of three years.
The move will be a significant opportunity to make EVs from Volkswagen Group brands like Audi, Cupra, Skoda, and Volkswagen a more attractive purchase for fleet customers – particularly when combined with the existing favourable benefits for fleets such as reduced benefit-in-kind. Fleets are a key market for EV sales for all manufacturers, considering that in 2024, six in 10 of all car types registered in the UK went to fleets – while BEVs accounted for 25.4% of total fleet registrations, according to SMMT statistics.
