Zapmap and TotalEnergies team up to accelerate the EV transition in the UK
TotalEnergies has partnered with Zapmap to make EV charging easier across the UK. With over 2,700 charge points in the country — many of them in Greater London — TotalEnergies is now part of the growing network of Zapmap payment partners.
This partnership means drivers can now use the Zapmap app to pay for charging at TotalEnergies locations. No need to juggle multiple apps or cards. With Zapmap, users simply add their debit or credit card and pay directly in the app. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also supported.

Zapmap is making charging as easy as possible. The company’s 2024 annual EV charging survey highlighted a positive trend in public charging satisfaction. This is a crucial factor for EV adoption.
While the average satisfaction rating for public charging stood at 64 out of 100, 61% of respondents noted improvements in the public charging infrastructure over the past year. They cited enhanced reliability and increased availability. As public charging becomes more accessible and user-friendly, it addresses a key concern for potential EV adopters. With this integration, TotalEnergies joins the march towards total charging convenience
Drivers can also view their charging history, get live status updates, and download receipts to track spending. It’s a complete solution, all in one place.
Matt Lloyd, Head of CPO Networks at Zapmap, commented:
“With TotalEnergies’ on-street charging network now live on Zap-Pay, this announcement represents a significant step forward for convenient and reliable charging for EV drivers in Greater London, as well as further afield.
I’m delighted that Zap-Pay is now a part of TotalEnergies’ focus on ensuring that charging is as straightforward and accessible as possible for users of the network.”

TotalEnergies has been actively expanding its EV infrastructure. In 2024, it launched “Source,” a joint venture with SSE, aiming to deploy up to 3,000 high-power charging points across 300 hubs in the UK and Ireland over the next five years. These hubs, powered by renewable energy, are strategically located in urban areas to support the UK’s transition to zero-emission vehicles.
Nicolas Garnier, Managing Director of TotalEnergies Charging Solutions UK Ltd, added:
“We are thrilled to partner with Zapmap to simplify EV driver’s customer journey across the UK. This collaboration perfectly meets our ambition to make electric mobility easy and accessible to everyone.”
As EV adoption continues to grow, solutions like this will play a key role. By working together, Zapmap and TotalEnergies are helping to remove barriers and make driving electric easier for everyone.
