Europcar offers EV rental price match for businesses looking to go electric
Europcar is making it easier for businesses to switch to EVs. Starting in April 2025, business customers will be able to rent EVs at the same price as petrol and diesel vehicles.

The price difference has made some businesses hesitant to adopt electric fleets. Europcar is aiming to remove that financial barrier. By offering EVs at the same rental price as their petrol and diesel counterparts, Europcar is making it easier for businesses to try electric vehicles without the high upfront costs of buying or leasing.
Tom Middleditch, Head of Electric Mobility at Europcar Mobility Group UK, commented:
“We understand that cost is a significant factor for businesses considering electric vehicles. The Europcar EV barometer for 2024 revealed that the cost of purchasing and maintaining an EV is a barrier for around 40% of fleets. We believe that by eliminating the price difference for rental, we’re making it easier than ever for our business customers to experience the benefits of electric mobility and contribute to a greener future. Electric rental is not only a more sustainable short-term fleet solution; it is also a great way for businesses to future-proof their operations. Instead of purchase or lease, renting provides the flexibility while electric technology continues to evolve.”
The price parity applies to a range of electric models, including the Skoda Enyaq, Jeep Avenger, Mercedes EQ range, and Renault Kangoo. Customers can rent these vehicles at no extra charge, starting April 2025.
To further help customers, Europcar has created a free digital EV Guide. This guide answers common questions about EVs and provides tips on how to charge them. It also offers information about available incentives and links to Zapmap for finding charging stations.
Electric business rentals play into the importance of test drives for EV adoption. If EV rentals are comparable, then more people will be encouraged to give them a try. As we know, once you drive electric, you very rarely go back.
