The third year of EV LIVE comes to a close
For its third year, EV LIVE remained at the prestigious Blenheim Palace venue, with its UNESCO World Heritage status, combined with the clear, sunny skies over the event, providing a stunning backdrop for the electric cars, bikes, and various stands on display.
Test drives formed a key part of the three-day event, with over 1,000 test drives estimated to have taken place. A special thanks goes to Ford, Polestar, Lexus, Toyota, Tesla, Volvo, Kia, MG, Waylands Automotive, and Steven Eagell Group, who helped make this wide range of 18 specific EVs available for testing over the weekend. Whether it was Ford’s new electric take on its legendary Transit van, the new rear window-less Polestar 4, to the part-saloon, part-rocket ship that is the Tesla Model 3 Performance, there was a wide variety of EVs available to to test out – on a route that gave visitors a chance to experience each EV on both faster A-roads and narrow village streets.
While not yet available in the UK, headline partner Auto Trader’s stand also showcased the upcoming Renault 5 EV – one of just two in the country, alongside Audi’s upcoming fastest EV: The RS e-tron GT performance, the only such example in the UK so far. Jeep’s new electric Avenger SUV was also up for grabs, in a giveaway run by Auto Trader at the event.
Mahindra Racing also bought one of its Formula E cars to showcase at the event, while the miniature Microlino EV, which has already had its first deliveries in the UK, was also on display. Off-Road Electric displayed battery powered takes on everything from ride-on lawnmowers to golf buggies, while EV hire company, Zimbl, showed off a fully-electric Carver.
EV conversion firm Clipper Automotive, also showed its capabilities, with a battery-converted TX4 taxi on display. Meanwhile, EZOO was also on hand to promote its salary sacrifice scheme to visitors, which includes premium EVs such as Lotuses and Porsches, under the scheme.
It wasn’t just electric cars and vans at EV LIVE, with a large number electric bikes and scooters also display and available for test rides, from the premium custom electric bicycles from Riese & Müller, showcased by e-Bike Barn, to folding electric solutions from Estarli, and more electric bikes on display from Velospeed, Advanced Bikes, and CaGo. New electric scooter brand, Bo, also showcased its premium electric scooter over the event.
EV charging specialists, ZPN-Energy, shared charging firm Mobula Ray EV, pavement charging providers Kerbo Charge, and EV charging software firm EVCharge.Online also partnered at the event – as well as UK green energy firm, Ecotricity, and leading EV repair and maintenance firm, Cleevely EV.
