- New-to-the-UK EV brand, Skywell, has launched a new offer on its BE11 electric SUV, in an effort to drive sales further.
- With the Skywell BE11 already starting at a relatively low price against rivals of £36,995, that offer will be sweetened further with the addition of both £1,000 of public charging credit through Octopus Electroverse, and a free home charger from Hypervolt.
- Skywell says the free charging credit will equate to over 5,000 miles of cost-free driving on public chargers.
Skywell introduces new offer for the BE11
Specifically, Hypervolt’s Home 3 Pro charger will be bundled free-of-charge with the retail purchase of a new BE11. This charger typically has a retail price of around £690. Add in the £1,000 of Octopus Electroverse charging credit, and that equates to a potential cost saving of £1,600, particularly for buyers who don’t already have a home charger installation.
This new offer, combined with Skywell’s eight-year warranty on new EVs, should make the BE11 more attractive in a seriously competitive electric SUV segment – going up against EVs like the Skoda Enyaq and Renault Scenic E-Tech. The offer is set to come to a close at the end of March 2025.
General Manager of Skywell UK, David Clark, commented:
“The Skywell brand and the BE11 is already making a name as a clear leader for value in the EV sector and this fantastic partnership with Hypervolt and Octopus Electroverse reinforces that stance as we strive to make the conversion for petrol and diesel to electric as easy and as cost-effective as possible.”
Head of Partnerships at Hypervolt, David Woodford, added:
“Hypervolt’s mission is to democratise the delivery of energy, and one of the key methods we’re doing this is through reducing barriers to EV ownership. Working with Britain’s leading EV tariff providers enables us to deliver the cheapest electricity possible to the homes of EV owners, and by aligning with a brand whose mantra is ‘affordability and practicality’ in Skywell, we’ve taken yet another exciting step toward building a greener Britain.”
The offer is part of Skywell’s significant expansion in to the UK, with a push for a strong local dealer and service network. The brand’s answer to the Volkswagen ID.3, the Skywell Q, is also set to hit UK shores, while the company will also enter the country’s electric commercial van sector from 2025, with the arrival of the Skywell 233 van.
