Pogo Charge is more accessible than ever with new Zap-Pay partnership
PoGo Charge, a fast-growing ultra-rapid public charging network, has partnered with Zap-Pay, the cross-network payment solution from Zapmap. Together, they will simplify the payment process for EV drivers across the UK.
PoGo Charge’s network consists of around 150 charging devices at nearly 100 locations—from Inverness to Penzance. The Zap-Pay integration allows drivers to pay seamlessly for charging at PoGo Charge points.
Matt Lloyd, Head of CPO Networks at Zapmap, welcomed the addition of PoGo Charge:
“I’m delighted that PoGo Charge is now live on our cross-network payment solution Zap-Pay, and I’m sure many electric vehicle drivers up and down the country will be too. PoGo Charge is an important addition to our payment network, not least because its ultra-rapid charge points are conveniently situated at car parks and other retail and leisure destinations.
This new payment partnership makes charging even easier for EV drivers at a whole range of useful locations across the UK.”
The Zap-Pay system supports payments by credit or debit card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Drivers can also view their charging history, receive live updates on charging status, and download receipts through the app.
Stuart Douglas, Managing Director at PoGo Charge, commented:
“It goes without saying that Zapmap is an important partner for us, enabling drivers to find our chargers as well as plan their routes around PoGo Charge sites, wherever they might be located.
Integrating with Zap-Pay is a significant step for PoGo Charge and for electric vehicle drivers across the country. I’m thrilled to see this integration go live and delighted to add our network to Zapmap’s cross-network payment solution.”
This new collaboration is part of a broader effort to make EV charging simpler and more accessible. Zap-Pay will announce more updates and integrations in the coming months. These integrations for simplified payment are essential in overcoming the fear, uncertainty and doubt that holds back EV adopters. The ability to drive up and charge without hassle should eliminate the concerns of many potential EV drivers.
