Pod Point is making the most of the Spanish sun with the European expansion of its solar-integrated charger

Pod Point, amongst the first charging specialists established in the UK, has expanded internationally for the first time. In doing so, it’s broadening its horizons beyond the increasingly crowded and competitive UK market. The Spanish expansion is an important milestone in Pod Point’s 15-year history, during which it installed 250,000 EV chargers in the UK.

SeisSolar, a leading solar equipment supplier, is making the expansion possible. The company will handle the distribution, marketing, and after-sales support for Pod Point’s Solo 3S home charging system. It has a large network of over 1,500 professional customers and retail agreements with major brands like Leroy Merlin and Bauhaus.

The Solo 3S is a solar-integrated charger. It lets users charge their EVs for free during sunny periods using solar panels. The device is designed to handle Spain’s warm climate with a durable polycarbonate exterior. It’s also compatible with all electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.
