Osprey Charging and NewRiver begin their destination charging partnership with four rapid EV chargers

NewRiver REIT plc and Osprey Charging Network have unveiled their first joint EV rapid charging site at the Three Horseshoes Walk Shopping Centre in Warminster, Wiltshire. This marks the beginning of a partnership to expand EV infrastructure across the UK.

This initiative is part of a broader plan to install 31 additional rapid charging points across NewRiver’s UK retail portfolio. These new installations will complement existing chargers. It’s yet more of the destination charging boom we’re seeing in the UK, and further afield, of late.

Osprey Charging covers all installation and servicing costs, sharing the profits with NewRiver. This arrangement minimises financial risk for NewRiver while ensuring long-term benefits for both parties.

Andrew Nosworthy, Commercial Director at Osprey Charging, commented:

“We’re delighted to be working with NewRiver to help future-proof their retail destinations by providing reliable, rapid EV charging for their retailers’ customers. This first charging site in Warminster is part of the re-charging network that will enable the decarbonisation of transport in the UK, and NewRiver’s forward-thinking strategy will ensure they stay ahead of the curve by equipping their retail locations to meet growing EV charging demand.”

This collaboration is part of Osprey’s extensive work in the retail property sector. With over 200 rapid charge points already installed for various portfolio owners, Osprey continues to expand the UK’s EV charging network. The double benefit of bringing in EV drivers by offering reliable charging, and future-proofing your retail sites, is a guaranteed win.
