Milence truck charging hits Italy with its first hub in the country in Bagnolo San Vito

Milence has officially launched its first charging hub in Italy, located in Bagnolo San Vito, near Mantua. The opening marks a significant milestone in the company’s mission to support zero-emission transport across Europe.
The hub is on the key Bologna-Bolzano route, connecting northern Italy with Austria and other major European regions. This location is crucial for freight and logistics, as it links Italy’s industrial heartland with important southern ports.
The Bagnolo San Vito hub is equipped with four high-performance chargers, each offering up to 400kW of power. This enables trucks to charge quickly and efficiently, with plans to expand the technology to handle even higher charging speeds in the future. The goal is to reduce charging times to just 30-45 minutes for long-haul trucks.
In addition to the charging infrastructure, the hub offers essential amenities for drivers. This ensures a smooth and comfortable experience for those on the road.

Milence CEO, Anja van Niersen, commented:
“The opening of our first hub in Italy demonstrates our commitment to bring all industry stakeholders together, to create a platform that drives the next breakthrough in sustainable transport. This hub provides Italy with a solid foundation to meet the growing demand for zero-emission transport solutions. It marks a significant leap towards the future of road transport in Italy and across Europe as we move towards a sustainable and carbon-neutral future.”
With a flexible payment system, including various e-Mobility Service Providers and direct bank card options, Milence is making zero-emission transport accessible across Europe. The opening is part of Milence’s massive European expansion. A €111 million EU investment is funding the expansion to ensure that electric trucking will thrive hassle-free.
