- British electric motorbike manufacturer, Maeving, has released a new tank design for its flagship RM1S bike.
- The new design is a no-cost option for those purchasing a new RM1S, in addition to the eight other tank colours available.
- The RM1S is the fastest electric motorbike from Maeving yet, capable of a top speed of 70mph, and a range of up to 80 miles.
More ways to customise your Maeving bike
The new tank design is called the ‘Vincent’, paying homage to what is widely recognised as the first superbike: the Vincent Black Shadow, which upon its release in 1948, was the fastest motorbike in the world. Rather fitting, then, for the new RM1S, which made its full unveiling back in April, and is the fastest bike from the Maeving brand yet. This heritage design features a gloss black tank, along with golden striping and the Maeving logo also coloured in Gold, closely reminiscent of that found on the original Black Shadow bike.
Maeving’s range of motorbikes already have styling heavily referenced from older motorbike design, but tank covers such as the Vincent add to that retro appeal, and we can’t wait to see which other tank designs the manufacturer releases in the future. Referring to older, coveted models is becoming a trend in the emobility space, and not just for electric motorbikes. Take the Renault 5, Volkswagen ID. Buzz, or Fiat 500e, just a few of the increasing number of electric cars with heavily retro-inspired styling.
