LEVC has expanded operations beyond the electric taxi sector with the launch of the L380 in China
LEVC, the UK’s leading electric taxi manufacturer, has launched its first electric model based on Space Oriented Architecture (SOA) in China. Sales for this new vehicle, the L380, have already begun.

This Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) is hitting other global markets soon, with a UK release expected within two years. In China, the L380 is priced between 379,900 RMB and 479,900 RMB. That equates to roughly £41,100 to £51,100, though prices for other markets are yet to be determined.
Alex Nan, CEO of LEVC, offered insights into LEVC’s expansion:
“Start of sales in China for our innovative new L380 luxury MPV marks one of the most momentous occasions in LEVC’s history. Our brand is rapidly accelerating its transition from manufacturing the world’s most advanced and iconic taxi, to becoming a leading e-mobility technology company and, with that, we are building on our place within the Geely Holding Group, maximising the Group’s research and development capabilities, global supply chain and manufacturing resources to enable us to meet our ambitious targets.
The innovative SOA technology – developed alongside Geely – is spearheading our exciting new strategy that will see the business take a global approach, growing our footprint across the world, with multiple new models based on the SOA platform leading the way.

The L380 combines premium materials with flexible seating, taking inspiration from high-end airline travel. It boasts dual electric motors, a 140kWh battery, and it can travel up to 512 miles on a single charge.
The L380 integrates advanced digital technology, including the L-OS digital platform for driver assistance and intelligent cockpit systems. Over-the-air software updates keep the vehicle current and enhance the user experience.
LEVC plans to roll out more models based on the SOA platform, significantly expanding its product range. The company is growing from strength to strength, with the power of the SOA platform behind it. The L380’s launch in China is just the beginning. The new chapter of the manufacturer’s offerings is sure to turn heads in the industry.
Alex Nan continued:
“The L380 meets demand for flexible, multi-occupant, multi-purpose pure electric luxury vehicles, launching LEVC into an entirely new sector. As with all our products, L380 takes inspiration from the company’s rich history, combined with the vast resources and technical innovation of the Geely Holding Group. The start of sales sees our momentum advance, setting us on the path to bringing cutting edge zero-emission transportation to more customers than ever before.”
