Reshaping EV architecture with the LEVC Space Oriented Architecture
LEVC continues its shift from a luxury taxi manufacturer to a global electric mobility solutions provider. The company has commenced production on the first in its new fully electric line, the L380, in Yiwu, China.
What sets the L380 apart is its foundation on the innovative Space Oriented Architecture (SOA). It’s a cutting-edge platform co-developed with the Geely Holding Group. This platform aims to redefine LEVC’s vehicle lineup, bringing advancements in range, efficiency, safety, charging time, durability, and connectivity.
The L380, a spacious Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV), is poised to hit the Chinese market this year. There are plans to expand to global markets, including the UK, within the next two years. LEVC is positioning itself as a global player in the rapidly growing emobility sector.
Production of the L380 prototype commenced on January 25, 2024, at the newly adapted manufacturing facility in Yiwu, China. The facility reflects significant investment, aligning with LEVC’s vision for a dynamic and intelligent approach to production. It operates alongside the company’s existing state-of-the-art factory in Ansty, Coventry.
LEVC is leveraging the Geely Group’s research and development capabilities. That, with its global supply chain, and manufacturing resources to execute its ambitious global expansion plans. The SOA technology, at the core of the L380, is a testament to this collaborative effort and sets the stage for a broader EV lineup.
The L380 is a symbol of LEVC’s foray into a new market segment. Boasting a large, luxurious design and unmatched flexibility with three, six, or eight-seat configurations. The L380 aims to deliver smart, green, safe, and accessible mobility.
Alex Nan, CEO of LEVC, commented:
