Kempower brings its advanced charging infrastructure to Kleve, Germany
Kempower, a leading provider of fast charging technology for electric vehicles, has marked a significant milestone with the installation of its first public charging systems in Kleve, Germany. Operated by Kuster Energy, this charging hub signifies a crucial step forward in the electrification of transportation in the region.
For years, Kempower has actively supported Germany’s transition to electric vehicles. Their efforts have ranged from electrifying bus depots and truck infrastructure to providing DC charging solutions for specialised electric machines. One such example is Berlin’s electric cleaning vehicle fleet.
Philipp Oppolzer, Regional Business Development Director, Central Europe, commented:
“This is an exciting moment for us. The hard work we put into the Eichrecht certification process is paying off. We are happy that we can now offer our solutions to a wider range of customers and are pleased about the first public Kempower charging station in Germany. Now electric drivers in this country can experience our user-friendly and reliable solutions. We look forward to the upcoming projects.”
In late summer 2023, Kempower achieved the coveted Eichrecht certification. This allows them to expand their services to public charging stations, meeting stringent quality and safety standards.
The Kleve location impressively hosts a total capacity of up to 400 kW, facilitated by four Kempower Satellites with a single connection cable, ensuring rapid and efficient EV charging.
Lars Kuster, Managing Director of Kuster Energy, added:
“Kempower’s charging solutions are unique in efficiency and slim physical size. We are pleased to be the first public charging station in Germany to provide Kempower’s first-class DC charging experience to EV drivers. This station will certainly not be the last.”
