José Miguel Aparicio is taking on the role of Director of Audi UK, replacing Andrew Doyle, who leaves the brand in September
José Miguel Aparicio is taking on the title of Director at Audi UK from October this year. The move will see him replace Andrew Doyle, who has held the role since 2017.
Aparicio comes from Volkswagen Group Spain, where he served as Audi Brand Director for six years. Adding to his impressive resume, he acted as Director of Škoda from 2015-2017. Prior to that, he was the Sales Director for SEAT in Spain. On top of all that, his credentials are even more bolstered by his mechanical engineering degree, studied in Paris and Madrid.
Alex Smith, Managing Director of Volkswagen Group UK, wished Aparicio his best:
“José Miguel joins the team at an extremely exciting time for the Audi brand as it prepares to embed key new products such as the Q6 e-tron and embraces new technology and customer-centric innovations. I’d like to thank Andrew for his contribution over the past seven years; he leaves Audi in a strong position and number three in the UK sales charts. I know José Miguel is looking forward to building on this success.”
Audi is rapidly electrifying its model lineup. The hotly anticipated e-tron GT is almost upon us, and Aparicio will be overseeing the models launch in the UK, along with the continued expansion of Audi’s e-tron range.
