Automobili Pininfarina has just unveiled the world’s first-ever all-electric hyper Barchetta – the awe-inspiring B95. This cutting-edge creation celebrates timeless PURA design and technical mastery.
Inspired by the PURA Vision design concept, crafted in Italy by Pininfarina’s in-house experts, the B95 showcases a bold design philosophy. One of its standout features is the world-first adjustable twin aero screens. These screens provide protection while preserving the Barchetta’s elegant lines, said to deliver the ultimate driving experience.
‘B’ stands for Barchetta, and ‘95’ marks the 95th anniversary of Pininfarina SpA, which is when production commences in 2025. The B95 has been unveiled as part of Monterey Car Week. Here, it shares the spotlight with other remarkable models, including the Battista Edizione Nino Farina hyper GT.
This isn’t a mass-produced vehicle; only 10 bespoke B95 examples will ever exist. The price tag starts from an eye-watering €4.4 million. It may not be ‘the people’s car’, but it is an interesting glimpse into the future of high-end performance vehicles. These hypercars stand a few steps above the best electric sports cars in terms of performance, and price tag.
The B95 features adjustable aero screens that pay homage to vintage fighter planes. This blend of classic and contemporary extends to the interior, with a unique dashboard design that seamlessly flows into the cabin.
Driving dynamics are fully customizable with five modes, thanks to its powerful electric powertrain. Powered by a 120 kWh lithium-ion battery and four independent electric motors, the B95 accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in under 2 seconds, reaching top speeds of over 300 km/h.
The B95 is a game-changer. A limited-run demonstration, it represents the pinnacle of electric performance, and shows how emobility can be embraced across all aspects of the automotive industry.
