The F-150 Lightning Flash is Ford’s all-new, all-electric, tech-forward model
Following in the footsteps of the massively successful F-150 Lightning electric pick-up, Ford has unveiled the F-150 Lightning Flash. Priced at $69,995, this new model promises to deliver on customer expectations while catering to a broader market. Building upon the popularity of the F-150, the new model integrates cutting-edge features, making it a tech-forward option.
Battery and Charging
One of the standout features of the Lightning Flash is its extended-range battery. It offers an impressive EPA-estimated range of 320 miles. Moreover, Ford has built one of the most comprehensive charging infrastructures in North America. F-150 Lightning drivers will have access to the BlueOval Charge Network, the largest public charging network in North America, featuring over 84,000 chargers. What’s more, earlier this year Ford gained access to Tesla Superchargers with the adoption of NACS. This means the Lightning Flash has access to the largest integrated fast-charge network across the United States and Canada.
Safety and Assists
Ford has incorporated their BlueCruise technology. That’s their advanced driver assist for highway driving. The Flash will feature version 1.2, introducing features like Lane Change Assist and In-Lane Repositioning. This hands-free highway driving system is designed to ease the stress of driving. That can be a massive boost to your enjoyment of your journey, but more importantly to your road safety.
With an expansive 15.5-inch LCD Capacitive Touchscreen, a B&O® Sound System with HD Radio™, and a slew of intelligent features including Wireless Charging Pad and Power Tailgate, the Lightning Flash offers a holistic and premium driving experience. The Lightning Flash is likely to be the most decked-out pick-up truck on the market.
“The F-150 Lightning Flash is a direct outcome of engaging with and learning from our customers. This truck combines many of the technology-forward features our customers love in our EV lineup, at a more accessible price. With an EPA-estimated 320 miles of range, the Lighting Flash is another example of the speed at which we are adapting to grow our EV business.”

In an effort to boost adoption, similar to Kia’s current autumn offers, Ford is offering a 90-day complimentary trial period.
The F-150 Lightning Flash promises to continue its impressive lineage. It’s designed to be amongst the most advanced pick-ups on the market. With its cutting-edge technology and relative affordability, the Lightning Flash is poised to be another remarkable success story for Ford. Let’s see if the extensive charging infrastructure and impressive technology can sway the world towards EV pick-up trucks.
