Evolt Charging joins forces with the environmental charity, Action for Conservation, to help fundraise and build EV training courses

Evolt Charging has joined forces with Action for Conservation to inspire the next generation of environmental leaders. AFC, a UK-based charity, empowers young people aged 12-24 to tackle climate and ecological issues.

AFC has reached over 6,000 young people with initiatives like WildED, designed for secondary schools and youth groups in under-resourced urban areas. They also offer week-long Summer Camps in UK National Parks, among other activations for the UK’s youth. AFC’s goal is to create a diverse, effective environmental sector, and foster long-term community change. Evolt will support by fundraising throughout the year, aiming to raise £20,000 for AFC.

Lani Dines, Fundraising Manager for AFC, commented:

“We are thrilled Evolt chose Action for Conservation as their charity partner for 2024. Together we can support young people to understand their part in nature and feel motivated and inspired to protect it no matter what path they decide to take in life.”

Evolt is donating refurbished electric vehicle (EV) chargers to Dundee and Angus College. These will support a new EV Charging Installation course, providing students with practical design and installation experience.

Anne Buckingham, Managing Director of Evolt Charging, added:

“At Evolt Charging, we are fully committed to delivering a more sustainable and greener future for all. Action for Conservation is an inspiring organisation that aligns with our values of passion and collaboration, and we look forward to working together in partnership to help educate and inform future generations about the vital work that needs to be done to conserve our environment and our planet.

Education is central to everything we do. We recognise the power that education and training have in helping to shape brighter futures for communities, which is why we are committed to supporting organisations like Action for Conservation, as well as our ongoing work with STEM and education providers across the UK.”

Evolt is a rising star of the UK charging industry, with major branded hubs appearing across the country. The fundraising is essential for AFC’s environmental action. The focus on training, meanwhile, will build a skillset for the future. It’s an innovative and potentially fruitful partnership, which could open doors for both sides.
