Electrify America hits over 1,000 EV charging stations with new 20-charger station in San Diego
Electrify America has just opened a new large-format electric vehicle (EV) charging station in San Diego, California. The station, located at Simon’s Fashion Valley, features 20 Hyper-Fast chargers. These chargers offer speeds of up to 350 kilowatts.
This new location marks Electrify America’s 1,000th charging station across North America
The company now has stations in 47 US states, the District of Columbia, and seven Canadian provinces. With this new station, Fashion Valley now has a total of 23 chargers, all available 24/7 with on-site security.
The charge point operator is working to meet the growing demand for EV charging. In 2023, the company delivered over 10 million charging sessions and dispensed 380 gigawatt hours of energy. It plans to continue expanding its network, with a goal of having 5,000 Hyper-Fast chargers open or under construction by the end of 2024.
EV drivers can easily track their charging sessions using the Electrify America app. The company’s Plug&Charge feature allows eligible users to start charging without needing a wallet or smartphone. So the charge points, and their payment methods, are seamless and accessible.
