New financing options from DLL and Kempower partnership make EV charging easier to deploy
DLL, a global asset finance company has joined forces with Kempower. Together, they’re making EV charging infrastructure easier to afford and deploy.
The partnership targets several key markets, including the UK, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Australia, and New Zealand. More regions will follow soon. Kempower’s mission is to make DC fast-charging widely accessible. By working with DLL, they can now offer flexible financing options tailored to customer needs.
Jussi Vanhanen, Chief Market Officer at Kempower, commented:
“In today’s world, where the cost of capital is high, we’ve listened to our customers and responded with financing solutions that increase payment flexibility to our customers, and can make EV charger deployment easier and more affordable. These financing solutions will be designed to maximise customer capital for efficiency, enabling them to invest in growth with smaller upfront investments.”
These solutions will reduce the upfront costs of EV chargers. Options include financial leasing, operational leasing, and retail installment contracts. Financial leasing helps businesses spread costs over time, preserving cash flow. Operational leasing offers flexible, short-term rental plans. Both are designed to make EV charging deployment simpler and more affordable.
DLL’s Head of Global Energy Transition, Adrian Leach, stated:
“We are excited to partner with Kempower, an organisation who shares in our ambition of being a ‘transition partner for a better world.’ This partnership will provide Kempower’s customers access to financing solutions that can enable them to obtain the equipment they need to be successful.”
By offering new financing options, Kempower and DLL are eliminating many barriers slowing infrastructure installers.
