UK drivers can claim £50 when they switch to an EDF EV tariff
EDF is offering a £50 cashback incentive for anyone signing up for one of its EV tariffs this November. Two of EDF’s tariffs, GoElectric Overnight and Pod Point EV Exclusive, will be among the cheapest options on the market during this promotion.
Each of EDF’s EV tariffs provides five hours of low-cost, zero-carbon electricity from midnight to 5 a.m.. This off-peak period allows EV drivers to save significantly on their charging costs. For instance, GoElectric Overnight customers save up to £828 a year compared to running a petrol car and £752 versus public charging.
For those new to EV charging, EDF’s partnerships make the transition easier. Customers can lease an EV through Drive Electric or buy a Pod Point Solo 3S charger at a reduced upfront cost of £499, with the remaining payments spread over two years.
To qualify for the cashback, customers—new or existing—need to sign up for any of EDF’s EV tariffs in November. They must have a smart meter and agree to half-hourly meter readings. The £50 credit will be applied within 30 days of joining.
