Chevrolet have provided a glimpse of the all-electric Chevrolet Blazer SS in the video below. It will be the first Chevy electric vehicle (EV) to feature a performance SS model. This news comes after Chevrolet announced its Equinox EV electric vehicle back in January and the Silverado EV that will make its debut this year.
The all-electric Blazer SS will make its debut later this year and will be available in spring 2023. It’s an exciting time in the US with many electric SUVs and pickups on the way.
Hummer launched their Hummer EV last year, as did Ford with their F-150 Lightning which has been such a huge success they have doubled the production.
Others including the Alpha Wolf truck in its many guises, the Bollinger B1 and B2, the Lordstown Endurance, Rivian’s R1T and R1S and the Tesla Cybertruck are on the way. It will be interesting to see whether those models that hit the market first will be dominant in the market.
General Motors (GM), which owns Chevrolet, are going into electric mobility in a big way. The company announced last year it would increase its investment to $35 billion in autonomous and electric vehicles (EVs) through 2025. With the company working towards an all-electric future, it has committed to 30 new global electric vehicles by 2025.
