Birmingham’s major arena reopens as bp pulse LIVE, putting emobility at the heart of entertainment
Birmingham’s popular live event venue has a fresh look and a new name. Today, the 15,600-capacity arena at the NEC Campus officially opens as bp pulse LIVE. This change marks the start of a new partnership between the NEC Group and bp pulse.
The venue offers more than just a name change
Outside, EV drivers will find the bp pulse Gigahub™, one of the largest public EV charging hubs in the UK, featuring 180 charging bays. This makes it easy for concert-goers with EVs to charge their vehicles before or during events—a convenient feature for an eco-conscious audience. Inside, the venue has added exclusive perks for EV drivers, including access to the bp pulse EVIP Lounge.
This rebrand marks a commitment to greener events and a boost to EV infrastructure. What’s more, it’s a continuation of the growing prevalence of emobility in day-to-day life. By giving one of Birmingham’s most significant venues an EV focus, bp pulse is propelling emobility into the mainstream.
At the time of the announcement, Elen Macaskill, Chief Customer Officer at bp pulse, commented :
“We are excited by our thrilling new partnership and to add our name to such a prestigious music venue. Our focus at bp pulse is on delivering convenient and reliable EV charging for customers. By teaming up with a well-known arena at the heart of the UK, we aim to raise awareness of our brand and confidence in EV charging, given how conveniently close it is to our EV charging Gigahub™.”
bp pulse is growing in strength by the day. This rebrand is a statement of the significance of the company, and the emobility sector at large.
