Be.EV continues its rapid expansion across the UK with an ultra-rapid Charging Hub in Chesterfield, UK
Be.EV has installed a new state-of-the-art EV Charging Hub in Chesterfield. Just minutes from Chesterfield market, this eight-bay, ultra-rapid hub offers the fastest charging speeds in the area. The chargers can add up to 165 miles of range in just 20 minutes.
To celebrate the launch, Be.EV is hosting a special event on Friday, 12th July. From 2-4 pm, drivers using the Be.EV app can enjoy half-price charging. The nearby Barley Mow pub will provide free food and drinks, along with vouchers for future visits. Drivers can also experience the new MINI Electric and book test drives during the event.
Chesterfield is home to nearly 3,500 EVs, so the town will feel the benefit of this installation. Be.EV, which operates over 700 charge points across the UK, primarily in the North West, is busy expanding its network. Recent progression in the company’s partnership with Decathlon, and an injection of funding, is fuelling this growth.
Asif Ghafoor, CEO of Be.EV,
”We’re very pleased to bring ultra-rapid, ultra-convenient EV charging to Chesterfield and to have expanded our network in the Midlands. We’re on a mission to roll out reliable chargers to communities nationwide that need them, and this location will provide market-goers and local residents with future-proofed, ultra-rapid charging.
The UK needs to transition to cleaner transport, and ensuring we have the infrastructure to support this shift is critical to our environmental goals.
Other landowners and local authorities should take note. As more and more people choose to drive EVs, they’ll naturally gravitate to destinations where they can conveniently charge their car whilst shopping.“
The new Chesterfield charging hub is a significant step for EV accessibility in the Midlands. Hubs like this are giving drivers the confidence to take on longer journeys in their EVs, yet further proving that, if the infrastructure is there, these machines can do anything.
