Transport for Wales backs another year of access to Cenex’s NEVIS Toolkit for Welsh Councils
Local authorities in Wales will have continued access to the National EV Insight & Support (NEVIS) Insights Toolkit for another year. The extension is thanks to new backing from Transport for Wales. It grants Welsh councils continued access to the toolkit’s data and upcoming updates on EVs and infrastructure. The toolkit was built by Cenex, through years of collaboration with councils, companies, and charities.
This month, NEVIS will launch an upgraded version of its Insights Toolkit, featuring enhanced EVI scenarios. These new scenarios will provide a more accurate reflection of the charge points installed throughout Wales.
English councils will continue to enjoy free access until March 2025. This is thanks to the LEVI Fund Support Body, alongside the Energy Saving Trust and PA Consulting. In contrast, Welsh and Scottish councils pay for their access, funded respectively by the Welsh Government and Motability Operations. Northern Ireland councils have the option to join for a one-time annual fee or through bulk licenses via their Devolved Administration.
