Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles invite fans to the VW Bus Festival which will celebrate the VW ID. BUZZ electric vehicle (EV) launch

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWCV) is again planning a big VW Bus Festival to celebrate the launch of the all-electric VW ID. BUZZ. The event will take place in the trade fairgrounds in Hannover, Germany from15-17 July. The area will be transformed into a Bulli area with a large campsite.

Bulli is the name given to the VW camper in Germany. Many thousands of VW Bullis of all generations are expected, along with fans from all over the world, coming together to celebrate this cult vehicle. The new zero-emissions ID. BUZZ is due to launch in 2022 in Europe and 2023 in the USA.

Carsten Intra, chairman of the board of management at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, said: “Our loyal VW Bulli fans have already been waiting a long time for a revival of the meet in 2007.

“Next year that wait will be over, and Hannover will again be a Bulli stronghold. Together with the community, we want to celebrate the Bulli and welcome the newest member of the family, the all-electric ID. BUZZ.”

It will be a unique opportunity for a large group of camper lovers to see the zero-emissions ID. BUZZ, which we think is destined to be a design classic. We also think it will be a huge hit, especially with the current growth in camper vans and the increased demand for zero-emission vehicles.

The planning activities at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles have begun, and the festival area on the Hannover trade fair site has been booked. There will be more information this autumn. Anyone interested in attending will be able to reserve a pitch for their VW Bulli around the turn of the year.
