UK retailer Wickes partners with Hypervolt for integrated home EV charger installations

  • Wickes, a leading UK home improvement retailer, who have been selling Hypervolt’s domestic EV chargers since 2023, have now launched a fully integrated installation service with the charger manufacturer.
  • Customers looking to purchase a Hypervolt charger through Wickes can now pay for the charger and installation in one neat sum, removing the hassle of finding a third party to help install the device.
  • The move is another great step in making electric car ownership even easier for those making their first switch to EV.

Wickes’ and Hypervolt’s partnership continues

Wickes have exclusively offered Hypervolt’s charge points through its store, with no EV chargers available from other brands, which it says keeps choosing simpler for customers. With the new installation service, customers will now have the option to pay another £410 at checkout, giving seamless integration of the charger in question. A short survey will need to be completed, before a certified installer from Hypervolt’s network is assigned to the job, which Hypervolt claims will be just a two to three week wait.

Hypervolt’s Head of Partnerships, David Woodford, commented:

“Hypervolt, as a young disruptive brand, are delighted to be more closely aligning with a stalwart of the British retail space. This terribly exciting development to our relationship allows our future customers to purchase from a brand they know and recognise, whilst also getting absolutely up-to-date tech. Our partnership brings a huge amount of credibility to both of our brands and helps to drive forward our collective mission which is to live in a more sustainable world.”
