- Following the Isuzu D-Max EV’s official reveal earlier this year, Isuzu UK has confirmed UK pricing for its new model.
- Offering a 1-tonne payload and 3.5-tonne towing capacity, the D-Max EV will start at £59,995 excluding VAT.
- The D-Max EV will be one of the first fully-electric pick-up trucks to arrive in the UK, with models from other manufacturers yet to arrive.
Isuzu D-Max EV to join the UK’s small but growing electric pick-up market
With pre-sales starting later this year, and the first examples being delivered to UK customers by March 2026, the D-Max EV will exist as a relatively unique proposition within the commercial EV market. Despite the rise in all-electric trucks available across the pond from brands such as Chevrolet, Ford, and Rivian, the UK’s need for more compact pick-ups has limited it to, so far, just a handful of models on sale. That consists of two models from SAIC-owned Maxus, namely the T90EV and the larger eTERRON 9. The latter model, which starts at £53,000 excluding VAT, will be a key rival to Isuzu’s new D-Max EV.
At the entry price of £59,995, the D-Max EV comes in ‘eDL40’ specification, with full-time 4WD as standard and an extended cab body. For an extra £1,000 this can be upgraded to a double cab. The top-end specification is the ‘eV-Cross’, starting at £62,495, which comes as standard as a double cab along with extras such as a larger infotainment screen and an improved sound system.
Neil Scott, National Sales Manager at Isuzu UK, commented:
“We’re incredibly proud to launch the D-Max EV at a competitive price point for a fully electric, fully capable, and work-ready 4×4 pick-up. There’s nothing else like it in the market today that combines zero-emission driving with full commercial capability. With high levels of equipment as standard, refined ride quality, and Isuzu’s legendary toughness, the D-Max EV offers true value and a sustainable solution for fleets and professionals alike.”
