- Toyota has revealed a handful of new EV launches and concepts, as the OEM aims towards offering 15 zero-emission vehicles across Europe by 2026.
- This includes a fully-electric take on the existing and best-selling C-HR, called the C-HR+, as well as a technological upgrade to its existing bZ4X electric model.
- Also revealed was Toyota’s conceptual take on ultra-urban emobility, in what looks to be its answer to EVs such as the Citroen Ami and Microlino.
Toyota’s EV lineup set to expand over 2025 and 2026
These new electric models revealed will also join the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV within Toyota’s new product range, which was revealed last December and is set to hit dealerships in the latter half of 2025. By the end of 2026, Toyota aims to reveal a total of six new BEV models for Europe. It has also reiterated its commitment to solid-state battery technology, with the manufacturer noting that these batteries will be rolled out ‘further into the future’.
Toyota FT-Me Concept

The all-electric FT-Me has been revealed a two-seater vehicle designed for accessible urban mobility, and much like existing products like the Citroen Ami and Microlino, can be driven on entry-level driving licenses – allowing younger drivers to get behind the wheel. That accessibility aspect goes further, with the ability to control the entire car (including the throttle and brake) directly from the steering wheel. This remains strictly a concept for now, but with the aforementioned alternatives already available to consumers, a future production variant is still a high possibility.
Toyota C-HR+

With Toyota’s existing ICE and PHEV-based C-HR recently passing one million sales in Europe, the manufacturer is hoping to replicate that success with the C-HR+, which it says carries all the qualities of the previous model – but with a fully-electric powertrain. A driveable range of up to 600 kilometres (372 miles) is predicted, which will also make it a contender for those looking for a long-range EV. The C-HR+ is expected to launch in several European countries at the end of the year, before a Europe-wide launch in 2026.
Updated Toyota bZ4X

The bZ4X may well have been Toyota’s first fully-electric car, originally premiered back in 2021, but there’s plenty life left in the model, as Toyota has indicated with a new update for 2025. As well as slight visual changes, technological enhancements that bring it into line with newer rivals have also been made. This includes the option of a larger 73.1kWh battery, with a projected range of 573 kilometres (356 miles), as well as higher power electric motors up to 343 horsepower. On the model-leading all-wheel-drive version, towing capacity has also been upped from 750kg to 1,500kg.
