The Polaris RANGER XP Kinetic Premium and Ultimate trims burst onto European markets
Polaris has introduced the much-anticipated RANGER XP Kinetic in Ultimate and Premium trims. The company has commenced shipping the Ultimate trim model to European dealerships, and the Premium version is available now.
Crafted for three passengers, the RANGER XP Kinetic offers two trims – Premium and Ultimate. The former is fitted with a 14.9 kWh lithium-ion battery, yielding a respectable range of 45 miles (70 kilometres). With the Ultimate trim, you’ll enjoy double the battery capacity at 29.8 kWh, providing an impressive estimated range of 80 miles (130 kilometres).
Standard charging involves a straightforward connection to a regular wall outlet. The XP Kinetic features a 1-phase EVSE for 240V outlets. Charging times differ between trims – the Premium trim’s 3kW charging hits full capacity in 5 hours, while the Ultimate trim’s 6kW charging takes 10 hours (reduced to 5 with peak charging).
Premium elements, such as LED headlights and integrated dash switches, are standard in both trims. The Ultimate offers an 18-centimetre touchscreen infotainment screen fuelled by RIDE COMMAND technology. It also includes front and rear cameras, providing a comprehensive view of the surroundings.
Efficient snow removal is facilitated by the ‘Plough Mode’ on the XP Kinetic Ultimate, automatically adjusting the plough when shifting gears. Manufactured in Poland through Polaris’ collaboration with Zero Motorcycles, the XP Kinetic stands out with its robust performance. It can tow up to 1,134kg, boasts a payload capacity of 680kg, 35.5cm ground clearance, and 25.4cm suspension travel.
Standard features comprise regenerative braking, electric power steering, on-demand all-wheel drive, and three driving modes – ECO, Standard, and Sport. The fully electric system translates to reduced maintenance costs due to fewer moving parts. Both Premium and Ultimate models come with a comprehensive warranty – two years total coverage, three years electric powertrain, and five years for the battery.
This electric utility vehicle is a true modern workhorse. It stands as a testament to the versatility of EVs. Showing that there really is no challenge an EV can’t overcome.
