Renault 5 E-Tech 100% Electric is coming for just £22,995

The Renault 5 E-Tech 100% electric will be available to order from January 2025, with prices starting at just £22,995 OTR. The modern reinvention of the iconic original brings a fresh and exciting option to the small EV market. Most importantly, it’s one of the most accessible EVs on the market.

The Renault 5 E-Tech will offer two powertrain options. The first is the Evolution, with a 120hp motor paired with a 40kWh battery, giving it a range of up to 190 miles. The second is the Techno, with a 150hp motor and a larger 52kWh battery, offering a longer range of up to 248 miles. The Evolution starts at £22,995 OTR, while the Techno trim with the 150hp motor is priced from £24,995 OTR. The top-spec Iconic Five trim, also with the 150hp motor, starts at £26,995 OTR.

The interior includes modern touches like dual horizontal screens, one for the 10.1-inch multimedia display and another digital instrument panel. The cabin is TARDIS-like in its spaciousness, with seating for five and a 326-litre boot.

5 E-Tech supports 11kW AC and 100kW DC fast charging, meaning you can charge the battery to 80% in just 30 minutes. Its bi-directional charging capability allows the car to power external devices through Vehicle to Load (V2L). Simply use an adaptor, and the car can charge laptops, phones, or even small appliances.

Renault will deliver the first models in Spring 2025, with test models available in showrooms from March. Renault hopes to make electric cars more accessible with the affordable price and exciting features of the Renault 5 E-Tech. It’s set to be a game-changer in the EV market. The Renaulution is on.
