They will unveil the Scenic E-Tech electric at the IAA Mobility 2023 Motor Show in Munich. The Scenic E-Tech is a sign of things to come for Renault, as they extend their aspirations as a next-generation automotive manufacturer.
The Scenic’s journey began in 1996 and, many awards later, it has become one of the most iconic family cars of the last 30 years.
Renault is committed to achieving carbon neutrality, aiming for 2040 in Europe and 2050 globally. They’ve reflected this commitment in the Scenic E-Tech electric, with up to 24% of its materials being recycled, and a remarkable 90% of its mass, including the battery, being recyclable.
The latest generation Scenic comes equipped with an all-electric powertrain featuring an 87kWh battery and a 160kW (220hp) motor. That offers an impressive range of up to 379 miles, pending WLTP certification.
The OpenR Link multimedia system boasts more than 50 apps and can seamlessly plan journeys. Notably, electronica pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre has collaborated with Renault to create the vehicle’s signature sound sequence.
The Scenic E-Tech electric offers a choice of Techno, Esprit Alpine, and Iconic trims. The top-of-the-range Iconic version makes its debut in a Renault all-electric vehicle. Enthusiasts can anticipate the launch in early 2024.
The Scenic E-Tech electric’s design features a flat floor, large wheels, and a Solarbay panoramic roof, ensuring adaptability for modern families. Its dimensions, at 4.47m long, 1.86m wide, and 1.57m high, provide traditional Scenic roominess and comfort.
Safety is paramount in the Scenic. This EV features over 30 advanced driver assistance systems. They include Safety Coach, which offers tailored advice on driving style and ADAS use. The Scenic E-Tech electric’s commitment to sustainability extends to its construction, materials, and even its battery design, making it a significant step towards greener mobility.
The Renault Scenic E-Tech 100% electric marks an exciting new phase in the Scenic’s legacy. The company will focus on sustainability, technology, and family-friendly design, all while staying true to its revolutionary roots.
