Scottish Water has expanded its EV fleet with 42 new electric vans from FIAT Professional. The order comprises of 39 Fiat E-Doblo and 3 Fiat E-Scudo models. This addition means that over 10% of Scottish Water’s fleet is now electric.

The electric vans offer impressive capabilities that align with Scottish Water’s operational needs. The Fiat E-Scudo boasts a range of up to 217 miles on a single charge. Meanwhile, the Fiat E-Doblo provides up to 205 miles. Both models feature rapid charging technology, allowing them to reach 80% charge in just 30 minutes with a 100kW charger. This makes them well-suited for the demanding schedules of Scottish Water’s service operations.

The new electric vans put functionality at the forefront. Scottish Water have customised the vans with specialised equipment, including fridges for water samplers, pipe racks, and heaters to dry PPE. With a diverse field of operations, and varied tasks on a daily basis, the versatility of these vans is integral.

Damien Dally, Managing Director of FIAT UK, said:

“We are excited to support Scottish Water’s transition towards net zero. The customised Fiat E-Doblo and E-Scudo vans are designed to meet the diverse needs of their operations while enhancing performance and reducing carbon emissions.

Our E-Scudo and E-Doblo vans, with their impressive range and rapid charging capabilities, are particularly well-suited for Scottish Water’s transition to greener, more efficient fleet solutions.”
