RIZON Canada delivers its first all-electric dump truck to Victoria, Canada

RIZON Canada has officially handed over its first all-electric dump truck, the e18L, to Villamar Construction in Victoria, British Columbia. They will use the truck for custom home-building projects.
In the coming weeks, RIZON will deliver 18 more trucks to customers across British Columbia and Quebec. These trucks come in different configurations, such as dry boxes and service bodies. Customers include municipalities, rental services, and logistics companies. The trucks are eligible for government incentives, including $75,000 from the federal iMHZEV Program.
RIZON is Daimler Truck’s newest brand, dedicated to zero-emission transportation. Their medium-duty electric trucks are now operating in Canada and the U.S. These Class 4-5 vehicles range from 15,995 to 18,850 lbs. GVW and can run up to 257 km on a single charge. They support both DC Fast Charging and Level 2 AC Charging, ensuring flexibility for customers.
The company launched in Canada in 2024 to help meet the country’s goal of net-zero emissions by 2050. The e18L and other models are versatile and capable of handling various applications, like flatbeds and landscape dumps.
RIZON trucks also include advanced safety features, such as Active Brake Assist and Side Guard Assist. The trucks are designed to work in cold weather with battery preconditioning and heated driver features.
