Polestar will be showing off their new Polestar Precept electric vehicle (EV) at the 2021 Goodwood Festival of Speed. This will be the first time since it was revealed last year that the new zero-emissions car will be on display in the flesh for the public to see.
The Swedish carmaker will also be showing their Polestar 1 electric hybrid, which has entered its final round of production, and the Polestar 2 electric performance fastback.
Thomas Ingenlath, Polestar CEO, said: “We are excited to show Precept to the British public at this iconic festival. Not only is it great to bring the car to a new audience, but our UK R&D team based in Coventry is leading the development of the project.”
For the first time in the Festival’s history, an exclusive test drive area will be set up adjacent to the event area at Molecomb. Visitors will then be able to test drive the Polestar 2 battery electric vehicle (BEV) on a closed route. Hopefully, this will help convince potential electric car drivers of all the positives of zero-emissions driving.
Thomas Ingenlath added: “Goodwood is a special event for us. The dynamic preview for Polestar 1 was a prototype run up the hill in 2018. This year we celebrate the end of production of our halo car with the new Sun special edition. And don’t worry, we have a surprise in store with Polestar 2 as well.”
The Polestar stand will be located on the main grid, just behind the First Glance Paddock.
