Polestar 3 production is underway in the US

  • Polestar has begun producing the luxury SUV Polestar 3 in South Carolina, its first model made on two continents.
  • The South Carolina plant will serve both the U.S. and European markets, alongside the Chengdu, China facility.
  • Production of the Polestar 4 will start in South Korea by mid-2025, further expanding Polestar’s global presence.

Production officially commences on the Polestar 3 in its new South Carolina facility

Polestar has officially commenced production of its new luxury SUV, the Polestar 3, at its new facility in South Carolina. That makes this the first of Polestar’s models to be assembled on two continents.

The South Carolina plant will serve customers across both the United States and Europe. It complements the existing production line in Chengdu, China. The spread production is expanding the manufacturer’s global footprint, cementing their stake in new territories.

Exporting the South Carolina produced Polestar 3 to Europe will strengthen our business on a broader scope. Going forward, Polestar expanding further with the upcoming production of the Polestar 4 in South Korea, beginning in mid-2025. Brands around the world are expanding their line-ups as the appetite for electric becomes more apparent than ever. 

Polestar got on the ball early and produced high-end, distinctive EVs for a modern age. So distinctive that certain legacy OEMs have been accused of borrowing its look. With this expanded line-up and production capacity, Polestar is set to hit the next level of engagement, and success.
