Cardiff’s Capital Shopping Park is home to ten new charge points
Osprey Charging, the UK’s fastest-growing EV charging network, has boosted public charging access in Cardiff. Ten new chargers have been installed at Capital Shopping Park. This includes eight 300kW rapid chargers, which can add up to 100 miles of range in just 15-20 minutes, and two AC chargers for longer stays.
Ian Johnston, CEO of Osprey Charging, commented:
“The roll-out of EV charging facilities is quickly gathering pace and we’re here to provide a reliable and rapid public charging service for all drivers, from Cornwall to the Scottish Highlands. Osprey now has over 1,100 charge points available to use across the UK, each carefully designed to maximise space, accessibility and made to the latest and highest standards. The new charging site at Capital Shopping Park will form a vital part of the re-charging network that will enable the decarbonisation of transport in the UK.”
Drivers can pay with contactless bank cards, Apple/Google Pay, fleet cards, or the Osprey app. The chargers are compatible with every EV model on the market. While their cars charge, visitors can shop or eat at the park’s stores and restaurants.
Phil Huby, Head of Retail Parks, abrdn, commented:
“We are thrilled to partner with Osprey Charging to enhance the EV infrastructure at Capital Shopping Park. The installation of eight high-powered EV chargers will significantly boost access to public charging in Wales, providing local residents, businesses, and visitors with reliable and convenient charging solutions.
