Nissan and Silence expands the S04 Nanocar EV lineup

Responding to the growing consumer and business demand for affordable, urban-focused electric vehicles, four new models will be added to the Silence S04 lineup. While the Silence S04 Nanocars have already been available in France, Germany, and Italy since 2024, the markets of the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Norway, Denmark, the UK, Turkey, Poland, Greece, and Ireland are now also under Nissan’s distribution, with the S04 set to launch in these territories in the near future. The Netherlands will be the first of these nine countries to receive the S04, with sales starting there this month.

The most affordable option will be the Silence S04 L6e ‘Unico’, with a starting price of under €10,000 (with UK-specific pricing still to be confirmed). In this entry-level specification, battery range will stand at approximately 100 kilometres. This is followed by an enhanced version of the S04 L6e, called the ‘Vivo’, which brings additional features such as a seven-inch infotainment screen, along with an improved braking system and a multifunction steering wheel. Both versions of the L6e offer up a limited top speed of 45km/h, which allows them to be driven from as young as 14 in certain markets.

The third model joining the lineup is the S04 L7e ‘Plus’, an upgraded model that brings with it a higher top speed and more power – specifically, 19 horsepower, and a top speed of 85km/h. Silence is also introducing a commercial-focused cargo variant, which offers a 500-litre load capacity and will be available in both L6e and L7e performance variations.

Gareth Dunsmore, Managing Director for Nissan eMicro Mobility AMIEO, commented:

“With this expanded range, through our Nissan retail network we are offering our Nissan customers even more choice when it comes to how they move – whether that’s commuting, running errands or operating a small business. Each model brings together premium design, everyday comfort and compact convenience that fits effortlessly into city life and beyond. It’s part of our shared ambition with Silence to make electric mobility more accessible, more adaptable and more relevant to how people live today”.
