  • Smart charging optimises energy use with real-time adjustments and compatibility with all UK energy tariffs.

Ohme offers MultiCar feature to add multiple cars to home charging accounts, including guests

Ohme, the UK’s fastest-growing dynamic home EV charging company, has introduced a new feature for households with more than one EV. The MultiCar functionality allows drivers to easily manage the charging of multiple cars on a single account.

Previously, drivers with more than one EV had to change their account settings or adjust charging amounts for each vehicle. Now, Ohme’s MultiCar means you can add multiple cars and switch between them as needed. This ensures that each vehicle gets the right level of charge without extra costs.

The new feature also makes it easier to track and manage charging costs. Users can differentiate between personal and company cars, with clear data on the charging costs for each. This is especially helpful for people who need to claim home charging expenses for business purposes.

Guests with EVs can also be added to the account. Not only is it a friendly touch, it’ll make EV ownership even more economical and appealing to potential adopters.

David Watson, Ohme CEO, commented:

“Innovation and constant progression are core values at Ohme. This new MultiCar function in our app is a great example of those and a major step forward for the growing numbers of households with more than one EV. This eagerly-awaited addition to our app just underlines how Ohme always strives to ensure that no driver is left behind in the e-mobility transition.”

The MultiCar feature offers detailed data for each vehicle, including energy usage (kWh) and costs, broken down by day, month, or year. As with all energy usage, the closer you track it, the more you’ll be able to save.

The launch is another great example of how EV ownership is positive for people and communities. Also, it provides another boost of convenience to the EV lifestyle.
