Mobilize is changing the game with two new compact inner-city EVs

Mobilize has unveiled two new electric vehicles: Duo and Bento. The Duo is an electric quadricycle designed for urban environments. It seats two passengers and can be driven without a license in certain versions, depending on local regulations.

The Bento is a utility micro van. It requires a driving license and features a spacious 649-litre cargo box for transporting goods and equipment.

Both vehicles are compact. The Duo measures 2.43 meters long, while the Bento is slightly larger at 2.54 meters. Their small size makes them perfect for inner-city jobs and journeys.

Additionally, both vehicles offer a comfortable driving experience thanks to their central driving position and suspension. They also come equipped with a driver airbag, a first in the quadricycle segment.

Range is another strong point for Duo and Bento. The Duo can travel up to 161 kilometres on a single charge, while the Bento has a range of 149 kilometres. This beats the usual ranges of most micro-mobility solutions. To add to their sustainable credentials, over 40% of their materials are recycled, and the vehicles are 95% recyclable.

CEO of Mobilize, Gianluca De Ficchy, commented:

“Responding to the challenges of mobility in and around cities, Duo and Bento reflect the vision of Mobilize: to bring retail and business customers mobility solutions that are safer, simpler, more eco-friendly and closely aligned with the major issues facing cities today.”

Duo and Bento will be available through the Renault network, with Duo ready for orders starting October 14, 2024. Mobilize’s new vehicles reflect a growing trend towards micro-mobility solutions which maximise space and slash emissions. This could be the design of all city-going vehicles in years to come.
