The MINI Aceman is coming this year to shake up the compact EV sector
MINI has unveiled its latest creation – the MINI Aceman. This mid-size all-electric crossover is positioned between the MINI Cooper and the MINI Countryman.
What sets the MINI Aceman apart is its exclusive reliance on all-electric powertrains. These are available in two packages: E and SE. The E variant boasts a decent 192 miles of range and hits 184 horsepower. Meanwhile, its SE counterpart ups the ante with an extended range of 252 miles and a more potent 218 horsepower engine. The lineup aims to cater to eco-conscious drivers without sacrificing performance.
Angular LED headlights, an octagonal grille, and flush door handles give the Aceman a dynamic look. Inside, the emphasis is on comfort and functionality, with ample legroom, an optional glass sky roof, and three interior trims – Classic, Exclusive, and Sport – offering a variety of customisation options.
Technology plays a pivotal role in the Aceman. Equipped with MINI Operating System 9, the vehicle allows for seamless control via touch or voice commands. The MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant adds another layer of convenience by responding to voice prompts and learning user preferences over time. Augmented reality navigation, Driving Assistant Plus, and an optional head-up display further bolster the driving experience.
The MINI Aceman boasts a refined chassis designed to deliver a balance of driving dynamics and comfort. Customisable suspension settings via MINI Experience Modes cater to individual driving preferences.
Charging is streamlined with support for both AC and DC. The SE variant, in particular, boasts impressive DC charging capabilities, enabling rapid charging from 10 to 80 percent in under 30 minutes. Battery optimisation features via MINI Navigation and real-time charging status updates via the MINI app ensure drivers can manage their charging needs with ease.
Pricing for the MINI Aceman starts from £31,800 OTR, with deliveries expected to kick off in November 2024. The MINI Aceman offers a versatile electric driving experience for urban drivers and MINI enthusiasts alike. With style, performance, and technological innovation, the MINI Aceman will make waves in the compact EV market.
