- The fully-electric Microlino bubble car is now available to rent from Europcar’s central locations in the Swiss cities of Zurich and Bern, offering a perfect zero-emission mode of transport for traversing the narrow streets and tight parking spots of the two cities.
- The addition works towards Europcar’s own goals, as it looks towards offering more flexible and sustainable mobility options.
- With rental prices starting from 39.90 Swiss Franc (£37) per day, the rental scheme gives users an affordable glimpse into fully-electric micromobility.
Microlino now available to rent through Europcar
The rental starting price of 39.90 Swiss Franc per day includes a fully charged battery and unlimited kilometres, making it the perfect micro EV to explore the two cities. With a battery range of around 150 kilometres and a top speed of 90km/h, it’s more than capable of being used outside the city, too.
The addition of the Microlino to Europcar’s fleet in these two locations opens up a new lower price point for those looking to rent an EV. At the time of writing, the Microlino is the most affordable vehicle of all types available to rent through its Zurich Main Station location – with a price of £38.16 per day, for a rental period between Friday 1st August and Sunday 3rd August. For reference, the second cheapest car available on this period was a Cupra Born EV, with a rental price of £149.10 per day. With the Microlino existing as the cheapest option, this rental also exists as a key publicity tool for Microlino – helping potential Europcar customers to explore the benefits of ultra-compact electric vehicles at a low price.

Time will tell whether Europcar rolls out the vehicle to other rental locations where the miniature EV would be perfectly suited.
Hendrik Lütjens, Managing Director of Europcar Switzerland, commented:
“With the Microlino, we’re offering our customers in urban areas a new, attractive, and sustainable mobility option.”
Diego Pugliese, Country Manager of Microlino Switzerland, added:
“This partnership is an important milestone for us. Together with Europcar, we’re bringing the Microlino to where it truly belongs – onto the streets of our cities.”
