Mercedes-Benz will unveil the all-electric VISION EQXX on 3 January 2022 at 6pm central European time (5pm UK) in a digital world premiere on the Mercedes me media online platform. Mercedes claims the software-defined research prototype will be the most efficient vehicle the brand has ever built.
It is a statement that underscores not only the innovative strength of Mercedes-Benz but also its stated aim to “Lead in Electric” and “Lead in Car Software”.
The big question is whether the sleek looking VISION EQXX saloon will top the current leader, the Lucid Air, when it comes to range? There are rumours that the German carmaker is set to announce that this electric vehicle (EV) will be the first to deliver 620 miles (1000km) of range.
Mercedes says that cross-functional development teams brought the VISION EQXX to fruition in record time. Board members Ola Källenius and Markus Schäfer, Chief Design Officer Gorden Wagener and experts from the development teams will describe the exceptional teamwork that made this possible during the launch.
The world premiere can be watched live here.
